GDL - cream of tartar substitute 250g

GDL (Glucono-Delta-Lactone) 250g
GDL glucono delta lactone 250g is a corn-free, low allergy substitute for cream of tartar.  Can be used to make "baking powder" or self raising flour.  
Use 1 teaspoon of GDL with 1/2 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) per cup (140g) of flour to make it "self raising". 1 teaspoon of GDL + 1/2 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate is equivalent to 2 teaspoons of regular baking powder.
Some research shows individuals with prolonged yeast infections or yeast sensitivity are often intolerant to tartaric acid/ cream of tartar - GDL is a very low allergy and yeast-free substitute for cream of tartar. 

Free from: gluten, dairy, rice, corn, potato, grains, peanut, animal products & artificial additives. This product is suitable for low salicylate, low amine, low MSG, and low GI diets and is produced in an approved halal & kosher facility
