Shipping & Returns
WE DELIVER OUR PRODUCTS AUSTRALIA WIDE!
A range of domestic shipping rates are available at checkout. Biomed Cafe uses Australia Post for small orders and couriers for local and larger orders.
You are able to select the option of express post or courier and an ice-brick, if you are ordering perishable items (including probiotics and chocolate), at checkout.
In the event that we cannot use a user's chosen delivery method (shown on their invoice), Biomed Café reserves the right to choose and use another delivery method at their discretion. In most cases, this means a faster delivery time for customers.
In the event a customer has a change of mind and wants to return the parcel to us and receive a refund, the customer will pay for the delivery costs to get the parcel returned. Due to the nature of expiry dates and requirements for refrigerated conditions for some products, products must be returned within 10 days of receiving your order and we will not accept probiotics for refund. Biomed Café will only issue refunds for products, not freight, and only if the product has not been opened or damaged.
If a parcel is unclaimed and returned to us, the customer will have the option to either resend the parcel (the shipping fee will be recharged) or receive a refund. In the event that a refund is chosen, a processing fee of 10% of the final order total may be charged to the customer. Freight costs will not be refunded. Probiotics are not eligible for a refund unless the parcel has been returned within 2 days of leaving Biomed Café. Please insure your address details are accurate prior to completing your order.
Parcels lost by Australia Post
Most parcels sent with Australia Post have insurance (although not all). If a parcel is feared to have been lost by Australia Post, Biomed Café will need to place an investigation with Australia Post. If Australia Post agrees to compensate Biomed Café for the loss of the parcel - that money will be used to compensate the customer. Usually the maximum amount of insurance covered is $50 (this may vary) for any parcel, therefore a customer may receive up to $50 compensation if a parcel is lost.
Some parcels sent overseas will be quarantined by Customs until an additional fee is paid to Customs to release the parcel to you. Please check the applicable Custom laws in your country before placing your order. Biomed Café is not liable to pay such fees.
Parcels damaged by Australia Post
Most parcels sent with Australia Post have insurance (although not all). If a customer receives a parcel and one or more items are damaged, the customer must (As stated in the terms & conditions at Australia Post) take the damaged items (including the wrapping (bubble wrapping etc) and the box/satchel within which it came) to the nearest Australia Post outlet for the damage to be examined. Australia Post will examine the parcel to see if it was adequately packed to prevent damage while in transit (Biomed Café ensures that items are adequately packed before sending the parcel). The customer will need to fill out a form and Australia Post will organise to refund you for the damage. Usually the maximum amount of insurance covered is $50 (this may vary) for any parcel, therefore a customer may receive up to $50 compensation if a parcel is damaged.
